    本报讯    孟菲斯中文学院将于近期为2013年志愿者提供＂志愿者服务总统奖＂的提名活动，本活动由孟菲斯中文学院校长Danling Huang及其志愿服务人员Jie Sheng 和 Susan Clair负责，特此烦请贵刊为此次活动刊登通知（中英文版本见下），通知的具体内容请查收附件。

    孟菲斯中文学院是经过官方注册和认证的可以为志愿者向美国“志愿者服务总统奖”提名的非赢利的组织之一。从2006年至今，孟菲斯中文学院及其志愿组织协调人员完成了大量志愿者“志愿者服务总统奖”的提名工作，包括在校学生和成年志愿者。中文学院此举的目的和愿望是在于鼓励人们，特别是年轻一代为社区义务服务，共同创造一个更加有利于学习和工作的环境。在过去几年中，孟菲斯华人子弟多人获得大奖，也为他们未来的前程提供正面影响。

•             2013年总统奖申请截止日期：3/31/2014，以邮戳或电子邮件寄送时间为准。

•             次项提名工作的志愿服务人员：Jie Sheng(Great Memphis) & Susan Clair

•             申请步骤:

1              申请人请发送申请到邮件pvsaservicecam@gmail.com，回邮中将收到                                       2013年正式申请表。

2.            申请人填写2013年志愿服务的详细信息并签名，在截止日期前将正式申请                                              表寄回到以下邮件地址：pvsaservicecam@gmail.com ，                                                                   principal_camt2@yahoo.com.

请注意：年龄低于18岁的申请人发送到孟菲斯中文学院的所有邮件必须同时寄送其父母或监护人。申请表必须由申请人和其父母或监护人共同签名。

4.            孟菲斯中文学院及其志愿服务人员Jie Sheng and Susan Clair负责审核资料，寄送申请，发放证书事宜。

The Memphis Chinese Academy (CAM) is one of the official registered Certifying Non-profit Organizations to help to nominate the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for our nation’s volunteers.

CAM and its volunteer coordinators / organizers have been helping to nominate volunteers ( students as well as adults) for PVSA since 2006.  Our purpose is to promote volunteer service spirit, to encourage others to volunteer serve the community, and to make a better environment to live and work.  

 

•             2013 nomination acceptance deadline is on March 31, 2014 by the time stamp of email / the post office stamp.

•             Volunteer coordinators: Jie Sheng(Great Memphis) & Susan Clair

•             Procedure:

1.            The applicant will need to send an email to pvsaservicecam@gmail.com to get an application form, on which the applicant ought then to list a detailed record of his or her volunteer work in 2013;

2.            Send the completed form with applicant’s signature to pvsaservicecam@gmail.com and CC to principal_camt2@yahoo.com by the deadline.

Please note: If the applicant is less than 18 years old, all of his or her emails (application, et al) to CAM must be copied to a parent/guardian. The application form must be co-signed with the parent/guardian.

3.            The application fee and shipping fee will be provided by the applicant.  A check made to CAM must be received before the official application is submitted. 4.            Verification, application submission, and award delivery will be completed by CAM, with the help of Jie Sheng and Susan Clair.
